Happy Easter

Easter 2014

Saturday of Easter Weekend we went as a family to the Santaquin City Easter Egg Hunt. Here Cory is with the girls at the 1 to 2 year field. They had each field separated for the different ages groups so it was great for the all the little kids to do it together.

As you can see it was a chilly April morning we were all decked out in coats and Adaline had her basket ready for when they gave the go ahead to start the hunt.

Cory helped Adaline go through her eggs and gifts she got from them hunt. Daddy filmed mommy help Adaline with her first real Easter Egg Hunt. This year she got to participate and picked up each of her prizes herself.

 It was really fun to see Cory and Adaline interacting on the video camera. Here is Adaline showing daddy a piece of candy she got in an Easter Egg.

We had to open each and every egg because there were also big prizes, like bikes and big toys so we went through each egg, but all were filled with candy. Adaline was not disappointed by any means and we had a wonderful time as a family at the hunt.

 "Daddy, can you believe all the candy I got? I am so excited to eat it. What a piece?"

 "What's an Easter Egg Hunt? Can I go, too?"

 

Later that night everyone got their Easter Basket from the Easter Bunny. Cory got some fun bubbles to play with Adaline out in the back yard. As well as some yummy peanut butter and chocolate eggs his favorite.

 

 Adaline got a bucket for her sandbox, a pink lamb, some yummy chocolate, and princess candy. Grandma Brewer gave Adaline the Berry Bitty Mystery Movie, Thanks Grandma!

Cordelia got a little ducky, a princess picture frame, and some yummy baby candy to enjoy. Grandma Brewer gave Cordelia a precious lamb that went up on the shelf so it can be a keepsake - Thanks Grandma.

Walmart in Payson had the Easter Bunny come and you were able to take free picture with him. It was a really neat thing that Walmart did and it was fun to dress the girls up in their cute spring outfit and go get their picture taken.

Sunday we enjoyed a religious celebration of the true meaning of Easter. The resurrection of Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Daddy bore his testimony to us as family that evening about the importance of remembering what the Savior did for us in the Garden of Gethsemane, on the Cross of Calvary, and most importantly that He broke the bands of death with His resurrection. We are so grateful for the wonderful miracle and blessing that comes from having a testimony of this incredible event. May the true spirit of Easter be in our homes all year round, that we never forget "the way, the truth, and the life!"
