Memorial Day Holiday Weekend 2013

Memorial Day weekend 2013 was a fun filled camping adventure for the Kellersberger family. Grandma and Grandpa Kellersberger along with Randy and Haley followed us up to our camp site to spend the evening with us before heading back to town. Cory and I found this great camping spot two years ago on our first Memorial Day weekend together, it is located up Spanish Fork Canyon. There is a beautiful little valley that stretches between to large hills and the grass grows green and there is a small river that runs through the whole valley. There were a ton of people here this year and it took a little rough roading it to get to a good spot to camp. But Cory, Grandpa, and Randy got the tent set up and the fire started while I cooked up our dinner of hamburgers. Then we just spent some time around the fire enjoying the heat because it was a little chilly for all of us.

Adaline had a great time with Haley and was happy she came up for the evening to play with her.

Randy was great in helping get the camp set up and it was great to spend time together around the campfire sharing stories and creating new memories.

Here is Daddy, Little Girl, Randy, and Haley enjoying the camp fire together.

The next morning as it got warmer and warmer, Daddy took little girl over to one of the streams and tried to get her to play in the water, but the water was mountain cold.

So Adaline put her feet in and then immediately

Pulled her feet out! So that was the only time we played in the water.

Daddy and little girl enjoying nature. We went for a little walk around the meadow and enjoy the different landscape Heavenly Father had provided us.

We kept Adaline covered most of the time to protect her skin and then we covered her in sun tan lotion.

Daddy was great to help take care of little girl...here he is changing a messy diaper.

There was this huge log a little ways from camp and when the camp site was in the full sun we headed over to the log that was situated in a nice bit of shade. Daddy and little girl laid out of the log.

Mommy could not resist getting a picture of the two peas in a pod together.

Here is mommy...pushing that pregnant belly out for the photo op! We ate yummy pancakes, sausage, eggs, and hot chocolate each morning and there is something about the woods that makes the food taste that much better.

Adaline made her way around camp as well as she could but many times she would take tumble on the rocks and would that caused the ground to be uneven.

Adaline would not take a nap in the tent unless mommy and daddy joined her. Here she is playing peek-a-boo from the tent when she was suppose to be taking a nap.

Daddy and little girl the last night. We had yummy steaks for dinner and roasted marsh mellows for desert. We packed up the camp the next morning and headed back to town for church, but it was a wonderful weekend spent camping as a family.
