Luke 2 and Christmas Morning 2013

On Christmas morning to help us remember the true meaning of why we are blessed with so many gifts, Cory read to the family the Christmas story in Luke 2. As he read the scriptures to us of the birth of the Savior to His mother Mary and of the gifts that the wise men brought, we all got the chance to reflect upon the incredible wonder of the greatest gift given to mankind by a loving Father in Heaven. The gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Like the gifts the wise men brought to the Savior, we get to exchange gifts and enjoy the blessing of the that wonderful tradition.

Daddy helped Adaline open her gifts as she is still not really sure yet about the present opening.

I got some wonderful new stemware from Cory. He got me the larger goblets to go with my small ones so my table will be complete.

Cory receive a beautiful picture from Haley of her wedding with her siblings. It is a great shot of all of them together with the happy couple.

Grandpa Kellersberger helped Cordelia open her presents.

Adaline got a book from Santa...."Did you know?" It is an educational book for us to read together.

Cordelia got a book from Mommy..."The Bernstein Bears" I loved these a little kid and hope she will come to love the stories as well.

Adaline got a book from Mommy, too...."Disney Storys". I hope she will always have a love of reading and learning, so that she will get the chance to learn all the wonders of the word we are blessed to live in.

Adaline and Cordelia gave grandpa a picture to place on his desk and work of the two of them together. He really loved it and was happy to receive it.

Cory received all three seasons of Duck Dynasty a show were are really enjoying because of the Christian message and moral teaching the family live by.

Cory got me two gift cards so I can spend some money at Hobby Lobby for house decorations and not feel guilty. Also a Ross gift card to buy me a new outfit.

The girls' big present from Santa Claus was a princess theme table for their play room. Adaline was so excited for it and has been playing at it and sitting at it since.

We all were very blessed this year with gifts and we are so grateful for the true meaning of Christmas in that the Savior was born to provide us with the path to follow to return to our Father in Heaven's presence.
