Adaline Helene Kellersberger is here! Born on the 22nd of March she gets to share her birthday with her namesake, Great-Grandma Helene Hunt, and with her Grandma, Kathryn Brewer. She was born at 7:14 pm and weighted 6 lbs 9 oz and she was 19 inches long.
We spent two days in the hospital to make sure that she was ok and good to go home. Grandma Kathy was there for her birth along with her daddy, Cory. They were the perfect team to help me get through my natural birth. There were many moments of difficulty but with the strength of Cory and mom by my side and with the blessings from heaven we were able to get Adaline here safe and sound.
The first night we spent in the hospital Adaline and I got to spend the night having skin on skin contact all night long. It was wonderful to hear her heart beat next to mine. Her little hand resting there on me brought some many powerful feels into my being. Even after 27 hours of labor I was so awake that I did not want to miss even a minute of her first day of life. Being able to hold her for pretty much the entire night and get to speak with her was one of the most precious moments of my life.
Adaline is completely healthy and is an incredibly well behaved baby. She breast feeds very well and is sleeping around 6 hours each night. She has done so since the second night in the hospital and Cory and I feel very fortunate that we have been blessed with such a well behaved baby. On the second night in the hospital Cory got to be in charge of the baby and was able to spend close bonding time with his new daughter. He got to hold her and speak with her as he developed a wonderful close bond with her as her new daddy. We left the hospital the next day which was Saturday and spent our first afternoon and evening at home with Mom. Cory has taken lots of pictures of Adaline and below you will see some that he has taken.
She is so beautiful we can't wait to see her in person and hold her. We are so grateful our prayers were answered and everyone came through the delivery a.o.k. Love you all
